Windfarm Bird & Bat Surveys
OTS caters to the specialist needs of windfarm projects from planning to operational phases. Our services include bird and bat utilisation surveys, risk modelling, mitigation strategies and ongoing monitoring.
Fauna Surveys
In addition to wind farm surveys, we provide a broad range of wildlife monitoring services for conservation, EIA, and more. This includes specialist services such as surveys of migratory shorebirds and other conservation significant bird species, and aerial waterbird surveys.
Wildlife Hazard Management
We specialise in the development and implementation of wildlife hazard management systems tailored to meet international, national and state level regulations, with specific considerations based on the species composition. We cater for a wide range of clients including airports, offshore oil and gas, windfarms, and more.

We provide training courses for a diverse range of clients. Our courses cover skills such as bird identification, survey techniques, and wildlife management strategies.
Bird Banding and Relocation
OTS ornithologists are nationally and internationally accredited in the safe capture, banding, and release of all bird species. Our bird banding services include capture and banding for research, and capture and relocation of high-risk birds at airports.
Telemetry (Wildlife Tracking)
We design and deliver entire tracking projects on birds using a range of tools and technologies. Our experienced field ornithologists provide expertise from the early planning and development stage, through capture and data collection, ongoing data analysis and reporting, through to project completion and publication.
